Hope
You looked so sad when we went and picked you up,
I felt so bad because of what that bad man did to you.
I put you in your new cage to take you away,
away from your pain.
I was in shock when I saw your little tail missing,
it made me sick and mad with furry.
I saw how thin you were and it made me bust out in tears.
How could anyone want to hurt something as cute as you?
Your just a helpless sugar glider, you don't know what you did wrong to deserve this awful treatment.
You are scared to be hurt again, starved again, and let out to die again.
I told you not to worry we are here to help you.
You looked at me with relief; you seem aware that we meant no harm to you.
I told you not to worry you wont have to go back to that bad man, he cant hurt you now.
We decided to name you hope because you never gave up, you didn't let go.
You knew that just in the nix of time someone would come along and save your little life.
