Hello there!!!

My names Megan, I am very excited about this board.
I have all rescued animals 4 cats 1 iguana hermit crabs and fish. I will get into them more as time goes by. I just wanted to say Hi, and hope others join soon!!!!!

Hey there Megan and welcome! It's so important for people who are considering getting a pet to realize that rescue is an option. Regardless of what breed or type of animal you want, there are probably a lot available to choose from in your local shelter or rescue group.

I have 3 mini-schnauzers and a pitbull mix. I adopted all the mini's and found the little pit wandering a street up above me. She was guesstimated to be about 4 weeks old, starving, mangy, and cold. In the beginning she suffered seizures, parvo, and extreme treatments for what we thought was uncontrollable mange.

She's almost 2 now and doing fantastic. There's nothing like knowing that you've given an animal a second chance for a good and loving home. I hope we hear many more rescue stories here and that we can one day hear someone at a shelter say, "Sorry, we don't have any animals left".

HI, my name is Renee'

I have birds ( ducks, doves, parrots) sugar gliders and a Pit bull named Samson and a mix I rescued named Lady.

I own my own home and am a stay at home mom and new mother on top of that.

I am very into anti BSL ( breed specific legislation) and have a site on the matter on myspace. Have met some cool people from my site and another forum for Pit bulls and have been very active in writing politicians and the media on pit bulls and how they get a bad rap due to bad owners.

Was refered here from myspace and am looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Hi everyone! My name is Cindy. I have ben rescuing animals, mostly on my own since I was a kid. I currently have: 2 dogs, 3 cats, a rat, a horse,9 rabbits, 4 chickens, 2 ducks, 2 goats and 2 squirrels, most rescued.
I have a wonderful husband and 3 great kids, I am a stay at home mom also, who has time for work with all the critters and kids? I do manage to help out a private shelter twice a week, though

Hey there all my name is ransomsgirl I have 2 wolf hybrids..they are both 18 weeks old and great to watch them. I play with them all the time. they love it. They are very beatiful

Don't ask me to post pictures 'cause I have no clue how.

But my name is Anne, and I'm an e-mail acquaintance of TY's. I have 22 cats and a dog, and spend a lot of money every week on cat litter! Right now Joey is resting on my arm. He's at least 8 or 9 or 10 years old, and I've had him for 7 years. He used to be a big, fat, white & black, black & white cat. But he trimmed down. It might be from hyperthyroidism. We're running tests on him at the vet soon.

He always wants to be loved by me. Initially when he started coming to me, and I pet him, he couldn't believe that a human was willing to love him. So if I pet him a little too much, he bit me and then ran away. That was a reflex action. Now he's so into hanging with me while I smush him, that it's engrained for him to purr, chill and love.
